Junior Construction Consultant *High School Graduate*

Currie & Brown is looking for a Junior Construction Consultant for our Portland, OR office.

The successful candidate will be a high school graduate who is excited about beginning a career in the construction industry. As an apprentice, you will earn valuable industry experience while working alongside skilled professionals.

Currie & Brown will pay for our chosen candidate to earn a bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying while working for our company (terms and conditions will be listed in our offer of employment).

What you will work on

• Supporting the preparation of tender documentation
• Reviewing tender documentation which will initially involve data capture for benchmarking and future cost plans
• Attending project/client meetings which will initially involve taking meeting minutes
• Recording pricing of variations and project changes
• Assisting in the delivery of professional services to clients

  Requirements

• Recent high school graduate OR associates degree in construction management
• Reliable transportation to-and-from work (office location Hillsboro, Oregon)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Aptitude to learn and strong desire to become a chartered quantity surveyor in the future
• Proactiveness in your approach to learning and working at the same time
