Davis-Bacon Act Compliance Manager

Currie & Brown is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Davis-Bacon Act Compliance Monitor to ensure compliance with federal wage standards on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring contractor adherence to Davis-Bacon Act requirements, conducting site inspections, and reviewing payroll records to ensure fair compensation for all laborers and mechanics.

Responsibilities will include:

• Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and applicable wage determinations.
• Interview workers on-site to assess awareness of their rights and confirm proper wage payment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of compliance monitoring activities, findings, and corrective actions taken.
• Project reporting both internally and externally (client stakeholders)
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and labor representatives to address compliance issues and implement corrective measures.
• Provide training and guidance to contractors and subcontractors regarding Davis-Bacon requirements and best practices for compliance.
• Review and analyze certified payroll reports submitted by contractors to ensure accuracy in wage payments and classifications.
• Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, issues identified, and actions taken to remedy violations.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act and federal labor regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance monitoring software.
• Previous experience in construction, contract management, or labor relations. (preferred)

  Qualifications & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 experience in labor compliance monitoring, construction management, or a similar role.
• Certification in labor compliance or related field is a plus.
