Director - Project Management

Currie & Brown is looking for a project management director who will be responsible for the overall performance of the Victoria project management business unit with respect to quality of service delivery, recruitment and development of staff, financial performance and general client care including achieving client satisfaction and repeat business.

The successful candidate will lead the growth of the PM unit and expansion into work with new clients including specializing in the delivery of built form and infrastructure project within the Defence sector. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of major projects within the Defence sector 
• Supporting as project director delivery on other projects
• Leading implementation of PM systems (induction, audits)
• Conducting project audits
• Ensuring delivery meets all company standards and policies
• Identifying resource and recruiting as required for allocated project
• Training and mentoring allocated staff
• Undertaking staff appraisals of allocated team
• Taking responsibility for the development of an annual business plan, setting budgets and business development strategies to achieve financial targets
• Managing key accounts and client satisfaction surveys
• Attending business development meetings
• Participating in business development (leads, interviews)
• Directly securing win revenue
• Attending industry events (Corenet, HICAP, Chambers)

Requirements:

• Relevant degree-level qualification
• Current security clearance
• Membership of relevant professional body; PMP an added advantage
• A minimum of fifteen years’ project delivery experience
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
• A team player with previous leadership experience and a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, personable and flexible
