Quantity Surveyor - M & E

Currie & Brown is currently looking for a quantity surveyor for our Singapore office. The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of quantity surveying services to Currie & Brown's clients.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

• Preparing cost budgets and appraisals
• Preparing estimates and cost plans
• Undertaking value engineering studies
• Measuring drawings
• Developing the financial aspect of feasibility studies
• Assisting in tendering and procurement of contractors for projects
• Drafting contract documents for projects for the review of seniors/associates
• Monitoring project costs in line with the approved budget
• Assisting in the pricing of variations and the financial aspects of the project change control process
• Verifying applications for interim payments and preparing payment certificates
• Producing cost reports and cost forecasting

   

  Requirements:

• Degree in quantity surveying or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of M&E Quantity Surveying experience
• Experienced in tendering and QS works and competent in contractual management
• Well-developed technical skills, for example preparing tender documents, estimates and cost plans, measurement from drawings, etc
• Passionate about quantity surveying and furthering your career with a leading property consultancy
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Ability to build long-term relationships
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with measurement tools like CostX and CADMeasure desirable
