We are currently looking for a senior leader to run and manage the Malaysian operations. This role will be based in Malaysia and will suit someone who is currently at a Director level within a construction consultancy looking to take on a full regional remit, lead project management and quantity surveying teams and be a leading example in developing the business and winning multi-faceted projects across the region. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the co-ordination of all participants on a project, ensuring programmes are developed, monitored and key milestones are met, and performance and financial targets are achieved
  • Preparing written analysis and property advice, including business case reports and supporting financial analysis
  • Providing strategic property advice and writing clear, concise reports to deadlines
  • Liaising with a range of project stakeholders who may include government and other regulatory and servicing authorities within development assessment and the planning delivery framework
  • Collaborating with internal project teams and senior staff on a range of matters relating to property and property development related projects
  • Ensuring all communication to both clients and stakeholders is of the highest standard and reflects Currie & Brown’s professional approach

 

Requirements:

  • Tertiary-level qualification in a property advisory, project management, construction or related industry
  • A minimum of five to ten years’ working experience in the management of property development and property advisory-related projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills
  • Well-developed IT skills including proficiency in use of EstateMaster DF, DM, MS Office suite of programmes, including MS Project
  • High level of numeracy and literacy
  • Ability to develop and nurture client relationships to secure repeat engagements
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work with limited supervision
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding/experience in a range of project scales and complexities, including for Commonwealth and State government business case frameworks and business case preparation
  • Experience working on Commonwealth project appointments through the Defence Infrastructure Panels (DIP) desirable
  • Professional attitude to work, business and appearance

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of our property advisory projects through to final completion, including the preparation of business cases for a wide range of public and private sector clients.
