Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Design Manager for our Architecture & Civil team to manage the design development process for a premium high-rise building project. The candidate will oversee coordination between various disciplines, manage client feedback, and ensure that construction aligns with approved designs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development Phase:

  1. Coordination with Disciplines:
    • Task: Conduct multidisciplinary design reviews and ensure alignment across architecture, civil, and structural teams.
    • Deliverable: Approved architectural plans integrated with structural constraints.
    • Example: Ensure column placements in floor plans align with beam spans for both aesthetic and structural synergy.
  2. Visualization and Client Feedback:
    • Task: Create and present renders or 3D models using software such as Revit or Lumion to convey design intent.
    • Deliverable: A walkthrough or animation for client approval.
    • Example: Present a rendered animation of a lobby to secure client approval for finishes.

Pre-Construction Phase:

  1. Material Mock-Up Approvals:
    • Task: Inspect and approve mock-ups of materials like façade cladding or flooring finishes.
    • Deliverable: Documented client approval of material samples.
    • Example: Approve marble flooring after reviewing its polish, grain quality, and aesthetic appeal on-site.

Construction Phase:

  1. Site Inspections for Compliance:
    • Task: Conduct site inspections to ensure construction aligns with the approved GFC (Good for Construction) drawings.
    • Deliverable: Detailed inspection reports identifying any deviations from the approved design.
    • Example: Address discrepancies such as incorrect tiling patterns in bathrooms and ensure rectification before further work progresses.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture and civil design management, ideally with experience in high-rise or premium building projects.
  • Proficiency in software tools like Revit, Lumion, or similar for design visualization.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and civil design coordination, client management, and quality assurance during construction.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Location: Candidates must be based in Thane or willing to relocate locally.
