About The Role

Currie & Brown is currently looking for a project manager to support clients located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

 

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

  • Leading projects through all internal and external processes
  • Managing the project lifecycle from pre-construction to commissioning
  • Undertaking responsibility for the overall management of the project scope, schedule and cost
  • Handling key project decision-making
  • Managing a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline is meeting the planned project scope, schedule, and cost
  • Leading the overall project – coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation
  • Leading project meetings
  • Developing, updating, and managing the project plan associated with the project lifecycle
  • Coordinating communication and providing status updates to stakeholders as required
  • Assessing project risk and proactively developing mitigation plans
  • Proactively managing project requests for information and action items
  • Working collaboratively with the project controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracked to plan
  • Ensuring availability or seeking out adequate resources to support the project
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in construction project management
  • PMP certificate desired
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
  • Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions and consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations to support project scope, schedule and cost objectives
  • Proven experience in Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
  • Excellent leadership, verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Understanding of business environments and processes
  • Ability to problem-solve, set priorities and meet goals
  • High levels of expertise, commitment, self-confidence and integrity
