About The Role

Currie & Brown is currently looking for a Director (Project Management) to lead and grow the Victorian Project Management business, based in Melbourne.

You will be responsible for the overall performance of the Project Management business unit with respect to quality of service delivery, recruitment and development of staff, financial performance and general client care including achieving client satisfaction and repeat business.

Responsibility also includes contribution to the development of annual Business Plan, setting budgets and business development strategies to achieve Financial targets.          

Responsibilities:

Clients

  • Key Account Management
  • Client satisfaction surveys
  • Attend Business Development Meetings
  • Participate in Business Development (Leads, Interviews)
  • Directly secure win revenue
  • Attend industry events (Corenet, HICAP, Chambers)

People

  • Resource identification and recruitment as required for allocated project
  • Resource training & mentoring directly allocated staff
  • Staff Appraisals of allocated team

Service Delivery

  • Lead delivery of a major projects      
  • Support as Project Director delivery on other projects
  • Lead implementation of PM system (induction, audits)
  • Conduct Project Audits 
  • Ensure delivery meets all company standards and policies

Finance

  • Achieve Revenue multiplier on allocated projects
  • Achieve 70 day debtors on allocated projects

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a construction or design-related subject with membership to UDIA, MRICS, APC or API preferred
  • Experience of working on major projects and program delivery across Commercial/Industrial, Residential, Public Sector Assets and infrastructure, ideally with minimum ten years’ plus experience in the Melbourne market
  • Demonstrated experience leading a large team and being responsible for building and maintaining a substantial P&L
  • Excellent first-hand experience of dealing with clients and stakeholders locally and nationally
  • Ability to simplify complex issues and add demonstrable value to clients
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills
  • Must have current work rights for Australia.
