Senior Cost Consultant - Dublin
The role – what is it we would like you to do?
Currie & Brown is currently looking for a cost consultant for our Dublin office. The successful candidate will support our directors in generating a high standard of service delivery on a wide range of private and public sector projects, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.
Your core duties will involve:
- Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients and undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision
- Assisting Director delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments and Providing support to the project director in cost management of projects
- Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
You will encourage effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control
Always representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
What skills and attributes are we looking for from you
- BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
- Membership of the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCSI)
- Technical delivery experience
- Experience of Public Sector Procurement in Ireland
- Pre - and post-contract experience using PW-CF1 & 5
- Experience of project cost control, including management & negotiation claims
- A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
- CostX experience preferred, but not essential
- Driving Licence
- Ability to pass Garda Vetting and Security Clearance procedures
