Currie & Brown is looking for a Senior Project Accountant for our Thailand business, based in our Bangkok office. Reporting to the Asia Pacific Finance Director and supporting the Country Lead, key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, developing and updating financial plans for all projects, including full P&L analysis, monthly reporting, variance analysis and review calls with senior management team
- Ensure proper revenue recognition compliant with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 15)
- Ensure proper storage and organization of project contracts and supporting documentation
- Planning and maximizing optimal working capital for all projects
- Review and analysis of project costs:
- Internal resources (time sheet monitoring)
- External sub-contractors (invoice / accrual monitoring)
- Project disbursements
- Cost to complete checks
- Comparison of physical status of project build with completion % of costs
- Raising invoices to Clients in accordance with client procurement guidance, contract terms and our internal procedures
- Variance analysis to initial bid and latest estimates. Agree actions with project leaders and cost centre leads
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting within company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Requirements:
- CPA qualified or relevant
- Minimum of 5 years' experience
- Knowledge of IFRS 15 accounting principles and procedures
- Proven accounting experience in long-term contract revenue recognition
- Good business acumen
- Strong accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in verbal and written English and Thai
